3.5/5I'm glad I had an opportunity to try this series, and I will certainly read more.
H.M.Ward has some serious potential, the plot is interesting, if Ivy is somewhat generic and reminds me of Zoey Redbird from House of Night series.
The rest of the characters suffer pretty much from the same problem. Quite generic and not very deep.
Collin however is addictive like very good dark chocolate. He is delicious. The ultimate misunderstood bad boy. And we love that.
The mythology is great, and I just wish the author explored it much deeper, both the good and the dark sides. it's all very intense and angsty, and very much the epitome of YA, so I can see why it's so popular.
I was very intrigued and I will continue reading to see where the plot goes.
Overall, a very entertaining read. Thumbs up for Holly Ward!
