Eternal Seduction

Eternal Seduction - Jennifer Turner I liked this book. A lot. The world invented by the author is amazing. Or the tantalizing bits of it which we're allowed to see. Odin, with his wicked sense of humor; Vouclade who reminded me of Gregory from Christine Feehan's Carpathian novels; Trinity - Greek ex-prostitute... All of them are amazing vampires of Nelek's line. Of course, there is an extremely intriguing Stefan Nelek - the Sire of all Neleks himself (check out the art!) and mysterious and dangerous to all vampires Drake.

I was happy with the world, I wanted to know more! Logan's, Odin's and Vouclade's sense of humor were great, I was giggling at this

"Logan licked a glob of strawberry jelly from her lower lip and smiled up
at Odin. Only one comment seemed to perfectly fit her current situation. “I
see dead people.”
He leaned forward, hands on his hips. “Me, too. It’s the only explanation
for what’s standing in front of me. Unless some high school kids broke into
the anatomy closet and stole the classroom skeleton, stretched some cadaver
skin over that bitch then cast an ancient ritual to animate it."

My issues were with the main characters. Kerestyan, a 10,000 year old vampire was too human. He was typically tall, dark, brooding and handsome. I wanted someone detached from humanity, someone who you can tell is not entirely here anymore. 10 thousand years is a very long life, but although the other characters tell us that Kerestyan is very old-fashioned and he speaks formal from time to time, there is nothing more. Again it's just my problem, - many authors do exactly the same with their characters. Look at Hush, Hush. Ancient angel behaving like a spoiled teenager?

Now, Logan. I found it extremely hard to believe that a junkie who lived on the streets for 15 years would be an attractive woman and have healthy white teeth. I've seen a lot of junkies and first thing you notice is that drugs destroy their teeth; they rot and they crumble. I also couldn't help but roll my eyes when after two grueling days withdrawal from drugs first thing that Logan does when she opens her eyes is having wild monkey sex with Kerestyan.

Oh well, if you don't mind rolling your eyes few times it's a great read! I'm definitely interested in reading more and I wouldn't mind to see a movie made based on these books :)
